When and How to Take Clomipramine

  • Clomipramine is available in the form of a capsule to be taken orally.
  • Clomipramine is often taken with meals three times a day. Following a few weeks of therapy, it is typically taken just once a day at bedtime.
  • Take the medication at the same time every day for better results.
  • Follow the instructions as given by the doctor's prescription.
  • Do not exceed or skip a dose. If a dose is missed, take the medication as soon as it is remembered.
  • If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with the regular dosing schedule.
  • Do not double the dose at a time to compensate for a missed dose.
