Her dad Nathan has been diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer and has a 60% chance of survival for five years; while her mum Elisa has incurable breast cancer and has a 16% survival chance for 5 years.

"I wanted to grow old with my husband and care for our daughter," Elisa, a real estate agent told NY Daily News. "Now I'm just hoping for a miracle."

When it comes to colorectal cancer, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. While I guess that could be said of just about any disease, I think it's more relevant for colorectal cancer because of the location [where most of the body's waste is stored].

The poor child. I hope a miracle will occur so that the parents will be cancer-free and can watch their daughter grow up.
