The Bangalore Police are investigating the suicide case of 22-year MBBS student, Durgi Shekhavath, who hanged herself due to a 6-month suspension from academic activities since she was caught for malpractice in an internal exam.
The MS Ramaiah College management had informed the concerned Head of the Department. This incident was also referred to the disciplinary committee of the college. Durgi was found guilty of the charges and she also confessed in writing to the charges leveled against her. Therefore, the management handed over a 6-month suspension order to Durgi.
