Women Spend 16 Months of Their Lives in Tears

A new study has found that women cry for at least 16 months or 12,000 hours between birth and the age of 78. The reasons include hunger during infancy to heartbreak as an adult.

Conducted by www.TheBabyWebsite.com, the survey of 3,000 people found that the reasons that a woman cries change dramatically over her lifetime.

: ''It is unsurprising that young children cry as a direct result of having accidents," said Kathryn Crawford of TheBabyWebsite. 'As a child grows older they will naturally try to do more and more – this means being more physically active and so having accidents are more common, but also pushing the boundaries and being more naughty.''

The survey also found that between the ages of four and 12 years old, female kids cry for 2 hours, 11 minutes per week. Between 19 to 25, a woman cries because of indecision over a love affair. Women aged over 26 generally cry for 2 hours 16 minutes per week and a break-up is the most common cause.
