Acupuncture May Help Chemotherapy Side Effects

Oriental medical practice of Acupuncture along with commonly used medications may help ease the distressing and disabling side effects of chemotherapy for breast cancer patients, if researchers at National Institute of Health (NIH) are to be believed.



According to Dr. Joannieshen MD, MPH, research associate at NIH, electro-acupuncture was more effective in controlling vomiting than just medication.Ian Cyrus, Director of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at the center for integrative Medicine at the Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia says, ‘Acupuncture is no longer considered eccentric or out of the mainstream.’



Looks like the west is sitting up and taking notice of Oriental Medicine in a Big Way!!!
