Unbelievable as it may seem, a 34 year old woman from New Zealand, least suspected she was pregnant, till she went to the toilet very much single, but came out double, with a baby in a bucket. She had given birth to a baby in the toilet and carried it out in a bucket along with its placenta.
Absolutely stunned, the mother rushed to the hospital. Nurses and three doctors made frantic efforts to resuscitate the baby, finally a rescue helicopter was employed to take the baby to another hospital. The helicopter was diverted to Hokitika hospital following bad weather conditions, where a life flight team flown in from Wellington began resuscitating the baby.The helicopter then flew into grey hospital where the baby’s mother joined in. The infant was later admitted to The Wellington Hospital. The baby’s condition is improving, hospital sources said.
