
The number of H1N1 positive cases in Mizoram climbed to four with two more swine flu cases reported in the state on March 19.
A senior official of the state Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) termed the situation in the state 'alarming' after two patients from Kolasib district, along the Mizoram-Assam border, tested H1N1 positive. The two claimed that they never ventured outside the State.
Out of ten samples sent to the National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases (NICED), Kolkata, four have tested positive. A committee has been formed to prevent the spread of swine flu in the state.
