Swine Flu Death Toll in West Bengal Reaches 25

A two-year-old girl, a resident of neighboring Howrah district, breathed her last at the B.C.Roy Memorial Hospital, where she was under treatment for swine flu 11 days.

Swine flu has claimed 25 lives in West Bengal this year, while the total number of people who tested positive for the H1N1 virus rose to 469, revealed a top health official.

Malay Dey, Health Secretary, said, "A two-year-old girl, a resident of neighboring Howrah district, breathed her last at the B.C.Roy Memorial Hospital, where she was under treatment for 11 days. The girl's condition was critical and she was on ventilator support."
