Scientists will soon be examining Scottish toddlers aged 24-30months, to test their capacity for violent crime, drug abuse and mental illness when they grow old.

Parents will have to fill up a questionnaire on the basis of which the health workers will establish whether the children are aggressive, bullying, spiteful and if they cheat or lie. Similarly children at risk of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) will be screened on the basis of their language grasping abilities. Support in the form of parenting classes will be offered to parents whose toddlers fall in the high risk group.
