All the debate and fear about the nearing of the end of the world has been brushed aside by NZ sceptics.

"There's certainly no scientific evidence to show this," she added.
Hyde said she knew people who planned to euthanize their pets because they believed the world was coming to an end.
"The problem is ignorance has its consequences," she said.
