Yet another service for the greater good of humanity from the Pranic Healers is the Meditation on Twin Hearts, which instills Peace and Illumination. Introduced by Grand Master Choa Kok Sui, a spiritual leader and lecturer the Meditation on Twin Hearts of Pranic Healing is intended to attain divine consciousness. "Prana - the life force, is all around us. Then there is the energy, which surrounds the body and this energy flows from a higher level to a lower level. Therefore in the process of Pranic healing there is a transference of energy from one body to another and healing takes place without physical contact," says Padmini Ramesh, Managing Trustee of GMCKS (Grand Master Choa Kok Sui) Pranic Healing Home, Chennai, South India. Medindia explores the nature of Meditation on Twin Hearts, an epiphenomenonof Pranic Healing.

Q. What is the concept of Meditation on Twin Hearts?

A. Introduced in the1980s the Meditation on Twin Hearts is founded on an ancient practice revealed solely to advanced spiritual aspirants. After serious study of various advanced meditation techniques, Grand Master Choa Kok Sui deduced this powerful meditation. During the course of this meditation Divine energy flows down the practitioner leaving the person filled with divine light, love, and power.

Q. How does this meditation help the person practicing it?

A. Since the practitioner becomes a channel of the divine energy, the person can send out the energy to heal the world bringing in and promoting a state of peace. So how does this peace come about? After regular practice, the blessing activates the heart energy center resulting in a feeling of overall peace, reduces stress and offers proactive positioning in interpersonal relationships to name a few of the myriad benefits.

Q. How should one prepare before starting to meditate?

A. A person is suggested to exercise the entire body to prepare for the energy to get released and flow during the meditation. One has to understand that some of the major chakras serve as entry points to certain levels of consciousness. Here we are discussing the Twin Hearts, which is the heart chakra - the center of the refined emotions and the crown chakra, which is the center of the divine union. Therefore, to experience illumination you will have to activate the crown chakra and in order to do that you will have to activate the heart chakra first. When the higher refined emotions are developed, one can experience divine love. This happens because by using the heart and crown chakras to bless the earth, the practitioner becomes a channel for spiritual energies. In turn you are blessed many fold. It is in blessing that you are blessed. It is in giving that you receive. This is the law!

Q. What are some of the proven benefits with Meditation on Twin Hearts?

A. Meditation on Twin Hearts is effective in stress relief, relaxing the mind, and calming agitated emotions, hence its application in Stress Management Programs. It has been successful even in accomplishing complete cessation of substance abuse, so you also have it practiced in drug rehabilitation programs. When combined with Pranic Healing, Meditation on Twin Hearts has proven to increase academic performance, athletic skills, behavioral functioning and memory. Disturbed relationships have been restored, marriages have been saved and work performance has reportedly improved in the corporate sector. In countries like Columbia, they have groups regularly practicing Meditation on Twin Hearts where practitioners bless their land. The benefits of the meditation have been experienced in other countries like Venezuela during storms and floods and in India during earthquakes. Even political changes have been observed in places like Philippines, Columbia and El Salvador.

Q. Is it safe for anyone to practice?

A. Meditation on Twin Hearts has multiple benefits. However it is not advisable in certain cases especially with people less than 16 years, people with severe heart ailments, glaucoma, kidney and liver problems, pregnant women, smokers, heavy meat eaters, especially ones who consume pork, alcoholics and hallucinogenic drugs users. The experience one gains from the meditation may differ from one practitioner to another; in case of any discomfort one must stop the meditation. In case the condition worsens, it is best to consult a physician.

Q. Why is the Meditation on Twin Hearts not advisable for people with medical condition when Pranic healers aim at healing people with energy?

A. While practicing Meditation on Twin Hearts the energy levels at certain chakras may be too high to handle for a person with a medical condition. If the energy level of the heart chakra gets high then a person with a heart condition may have adverse effects, in which case immediate medical attention would be advised. We do work with physicians where the healing takes place faster during a treatment or post surgery.

Among most meditation aimed for specific concerns, Meditation on Twin Hearts is unique because of its design to serve humanity at large. The core belief is to emanate and spread divine love or illumination and peace.
