The FDA has joined hands with University of Maryland and Waters Corporation to unveil the International Food Safety Training Laboratory in Maryland.

The US Food and Drug Administration has joined hands with University of Maryland and Waters Corporation to unveil the International Food Safety Training Laboratory in Maryland.

The lab will be the first one in the world to educate students from across the globe in food safety techniques and help the governments to make sure that the food being imported into the country is safe for consumption.

Organic Foods - 'Natural products'
Organic Foods are produced by the ‘natural method’, without the use of chemicals like pesticides, fertilizers or sewage sludge.

Commenting on the lab, FDA’s director of Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, Michael Landa said, “We look forward to this opportunity to build global laboratory capacity. The International Food Safety Training Laboratory will help address food safety challenges worldwide through training and technical assistance.”
