If You`re a Woman, Never Consult a Female Friend on Outfit Advice
Ever heard of 'outfit sabotage'? It's when women tell their friends they look great, when in fact they don't. So if you're looking for an honest opinion about your outfit, then don't take advice from your girl gang.
According to a poll of 1,600 women by clothes website MyCelebrityFashion, more than two-thirds of the ladies tell their companions they look good in a garment - when they don't.

And the deliberate "sabotage" is down to women wanting to boost their own confidence, the study found.

The study also found that nearly a third of women have told friends they looked awful in something - when in fact they looked great - because they didn't want to be upstaged, reports The Daily Express.

"The results of this study reveal just how much jealousy clothes can invoke," the website's marketing director Andy Barr said.

"The fact that almost half of the women admitted to purposeful 'outfit sabotage' in order to boost their own confidence proves how much we rely on appearances for our own self worth, a worrying trend."

He warned: "Never put your self confidence in the hand of someone else, and trust what you think suits you. If you feel good in it, then that's all that matters!"
