Heart Surgery for Katherine Heigl's Newly Adopted Baby Girl

It has emerged that Katherine Heigl's newly adopted daughter had to undergo life-saving surgery at the age of two months because she was born with a hole in her heart.

The 'Ugly Truth' actress and her singer husband Josh Kelley finalised all legalities for adopting 10-month-old Nancy Leigh from Korea last week.

The couple revealed that they had to quickly finish all the paper work because the child has special needs

"They wanted to get her to us as quickly as possible," said Heigl.

According to the National Enquirer, the baby - nicknamed Naleigh had an operation soon after she was born to fix her heart defect.

A source said: "Doctors said the congenital heart defect had to be treated quickly to save the baby's life."
