"We chose female condoms primarily because the product is available in the market since long now, yet the awareness is less. Women contraceptives have ill-effects and have been adversely effecting the health of women. When there is a product, which is safe and better, why should we not promote it," Sahil Shah, managing director of the site, told IANS.
Cuponation.in has created a page, specially designed to make it a one-stop-shop for women. The page contains all the feminine products with best available discounts.
"Though we have the product available on our website ever since our inception, but for this International Women's Day, we have specially created a page and a banner on the home page to highlight the product. We are providing 10 percent discount on Femidom," said Shah.
The offer began March 1, and ends March 8. The response is "great" so far.
"We have seen an increase in the purchase by seven percent for it, and we expect more traffic on our website for Femidom in the coming days," he added.
