Few Parents Admit Being Pushy Towards Kids

Only nine percent of parents admit to being pushy, examines a new study.

The nationwide online poll of 2,000 parents of children under 16, by price comparison site Confused.com, suggested that 12 percent parents admitted that they like to have complete control over what their children do from after-school activities to their youngsters' chosen career path, the Daily Express reported.

According to the study, some six percent of mums and dads admit that their offspring take part in certain pastimes to follow a dream they had when they were younger.

More than a third of parents admitted that they try to influence their children's decisions, and approximately eight percent spend more than 200 pounds a month on a child's activities.
