After staying in rehab for nearly a month, singer Britney Spears has claimed that she never had any drug or alcohol problem at all, and was pressurised to enter rehab facility.

According to sources, the 'Toxic' singer has claimed that her mother Lynne Spears, soon-to-be ex husband Kevin Federline and then-manager Larry Rudolph deceived her by forcing her into the Promises rehab facility, reports TMZ.

Though Spears accepted having emotional problems after the birth of her second child, but was firm that she did not have a drug or alcohol problem.

Multiple sources have claimed that Federline had threatened to drag Spears through the public courts and ruin her reputation unless she went to rehab. They also add that Spears agreed only to spare her children the stress of a court battle and checked into Promises on February 20 this year.

Staff at Promises rehab centre in Malibu, California, is reported to have said that they thought Spears suffered from post-natal depression after the birth of her second child, which was made worse because she had stopped taking the antidepressant Prozac.

Spears' lawyers called Promises multiple times demanding evidence of any 'failed' substance tests but were told she had passed them all. t took several days for Promises to response, and only two reports were sent to Britney's rep, both showing no drug or alcohol use at all.

Spears, who shocked fans when she shaved her hair off when she left rehab, has since performed several comeback gigs in the US.
