Britain Kids and Social Networking Sites
Children in UK spend more time on social networking sites than their peers in other countries, reveals study.
The study conducted by global security software company AVG said British children aged between six and nine are on sites such as Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and Bebo for between two and four hours a week, report the Scotsman.

That is far more than other nine countries surveyed including the US, Japan and Germany, according to the study.

British youngsters are also the second most at risk of cyber- bullying, with one in five saying they had experienced aggressive or unpleasant behaviour online, the survey revealed.

This was second only to Spain, where 25 per cent of children had experienced some form of cyber-bullying.
