Bird flu virus found in Falcons in Saudi Arabia

Bird flu virus have started spreading in the Gulf region in animals, following reports of bird flu infection among birds in the month of November in Kuwait now the virus seems to be spread to Saudi Arabia infecting 5 falcons.

Tests from the falcons revealed that the virus is H5N1 strain of Bird flu virus which has made world wide threat of bird flu infection, the recent spread to 5 falcons in Riyadh city of Saudi Arabia as led to the killing of all the 37 falcons in the center in order to stop the spread of the virus.

According to the Agriculture Ministry, the authorities are taking strict surveillance and tests to early report any case of bird flu and avoid spread of the virus to humans.
