 Bird Flu Death Reported in China's Eastern Province of Zhejiang

H7N9 is a bird flu strain first reported to have infected humans in March 2013 in China. It is most likely to strike in winter and spring. A patient has died of H7N9 bird flu in China's eastern province of Zhejiang, reported health authorities.

The death was reported on January 8, 2016 in Keqiao district of Shaoxing city. Authorities did not disclose further information.

Two other H7N9 patients, including one who is said to be critically ill, were reported in Ningbo city of Zhejiang province.
