Glossary

Anxiety: A feeling of apprehension and fear characterized by physical symptoms such as palpitations, sweating, and feelings of stress.

Aphrodisiac: Arouses or enhances instinctive sexual desire.

Depression: Mental state of low mood commonly associated with feelings of sadness, emptiness, despair or loss of interest in life or worldly matters.

Hyperactivity: A type of behaviour characterised by excessive physical activity, sometimes associated with neurological or psychological causes.

Trauma: An injury (as a wound) to living tissue caused by an extrinsic agent.
