Symptoms of Amblyopia
Amblyopia generally develops in young children, before the age of six years.
Symptoms of amblyopia include:
- Lack of binocular vision or stereopsis i.e. the ability to blend the images of both eyes together
- Poor depth perception
- Poor vision in one or both eyes
- Squinting or closing one eye while reading or watching television
- Turning or tilting the head when looking at an object
- Eyestrain and headaches
