Incidence of Sleepwalking maybe as high as 17% in children and 4 to 10% in adults.

Sleepwalking is found to favor children, affecting boys more than girls.

There is a strong genetic and family history to sleepwalking. The chances of having it are double or almost triple if one or both parents experienced sleepwalking episodes during their childhood or adulthood.

The incidence of sleepwalking is estimated to be as high as 17% in children (peak age, 4 to 8 years).

According to recent statistics, the prevalence of sleepwalking is 4% to 10% in adults, which is higher than what has been previously established.

Non-injurious Sleepwalking occurs equally among both sexes, but injurious Sleepwalking is more common in males.
