Biopsy – The procedure of obtaining a tissue sample for testing

Cancer – Abnormal growth of cells that spread to other organs and can cause death

Colonoscopy – Procedure where a tube is inserted into the colon through the anus to check for disease

Endoscopy - Procedure where a tube is inserted into the stomach through the mouth to check for disease

Prognosis – The outcome of a disease

Pelvis – The portion of the trunk below the abdomen

Risk Factors – Conditions that increase a patient’s chance of suffering from a disease
