Glossary

Hormone: Chemicals secreted by endocrine glands and released directly into the bood stream. Hormones control several important processes of the body

Circadian rhythm: A daily rhythmic activity cycle, based on 24-hour intervals, that is exhibited by many organisms

Bladder: The portion of the urinary tract that connects the ureters and the urethra externally. It is a reservoir of urine until the patient is ready to empty the bladder. Contraction of the bladder leads to expulsion of urine
