Glossary

Cyst – It is a closed tissue that may contain pus, air, fluid, or other material.

Arachnoid membrane – It is one of the 3 membranes that protects the brain and spinal cord.

Intradural – Located between or within the dura mater (the outermost membrane of the brain).

Extradural – Located outside the dura mater.
