Allergic Reactions -
Anaphylactoid reactions, shock.
Heart -
Slow heartbeat, heart arrest, abnormal heart rhythm, heart enlargement, circulatory collapse, heart failure, fat accumulation, high blood pressure, heart muscle disease in premature infants, heart attack, lung swelling, fainting, fast heart rate blood clots, and vein inflammation.
Skin-
Pimples, skin inflammation, dry scaly skin, red or purple spot on the body, redness of the skin, hyperpigmentation, impaired wound healing, increased sweating, rash, pus formation, thin fragile skin, thinning scalp hair, and hives.
Genitourinary -
Excretion of glucose into the urine, have excess facial and body hair in women, menstrual irregularities, growth suppression in pediatric patients.
Gastrointestinal -
Abdominal distention, bowel/bladder dysfunction, elevation in serum liver enzyme levels, liver enlargement, increased appetite, nausea, inflammation of pancreas, peptic ulcer and ulcerative esophagitis.
Metabolic -
Fluid retention.
Musculoskeletal -
Bone death of femoral and humeral heads, charcot-like arthropathy, loss of muscle mass, muscle weakness, osteoporosis, fracture of long bones, tendon rupture, vertebral compression fractures.
Central Nervous System-
Convulsions, depression, emotional instability, headache, stroke, sleeplessness, mood swings, nerve disease, tingling, personality changes, psychic disorders.
Eye -
Bulging of the eye, increased eye pressure, cataracts, rare instances of blindness.
Miscellaneous -
Abnormal fat deposits, decreased resistance to infection, hiccups, uneasiness, and moon face, weight gain.
