How to Take Tranylcypromine and it's Dose


It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with or without food.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

Dose is based on patient’s condition. The usual effective dosage is 30 mg per day in divided doses.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)

Contraindicated in patients with brain defects, heart disease, kidney tumors, co-administered with MAO inhibitors, bupropion, serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) or selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs), sympathomimetics, buspirone, meperidine, dextromethorphan, undergoing elective surgery and hypersensitivity.
