How to Take Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) and it's Dose


• Usually taken orally with food.
• Parenterally administered along with other vitamins in vitamin deficiency cases.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

Riboflavin comes as a tablet, Syrup, and injection forms.

The maximum recommended dietary allowance for –
• Men - 1.3 mg
• Women - 1.1 mg
• Pregnant women - 1.4 mg
• Breastfeeding women - 1.6mg

• For migraine headache prevention:
400 mg daily at least for minimum three months
• For cataract prevention:
Dietary intake of 2.6mg of riboflavin per day
