How to Take Oxprenolol and it's Dose


It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with or without food.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

Adult: PO- The recommended dose is 80-160 mg/day in 2-3 divided doses. May increase dose 1-2 wkly. Max: 320 mg/day.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)

Contraindicated in patients with uncontrolled heart failure, asthma, pulmonary hypertension, shock, and hypersensitivity.

This medication is a non-selective beta-blocker, prescribed for angina pectoris, abnormal heart rhythms and high blood pressure.
