How to Take Dactinomycin and it's Dose


It comes as a solution for injection to be administered by a healthcare provider into the vein.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

Adult: IV- Wilm's tumor; Ewing's sarcoma; Childhood rhabdomyosarcoma- 15 mcg/kg/day for 5 days in combination regimens.
Gestational trophoblastic tumours- 12 mcg/kg/day for 5 days as a single agent.
Metastatic nonseminomatous testicular cancer- 1 mg/m2 on day 1 of combination regimens.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)

It should not be given in patients with chickenpox or herpes zoster, and hypersensitivity.

Drug Name : Dactinomycin

This medication is a cytotoxic chemotherapy, prescribed for Wilm's tumor, Ewing’s sarcoma and testicular cancer.
