â€¢ Heart :
High or low blood pressure, heart arrest and blood clotting events.
â€¢ Central Nervous System : Weakness, dizziness, fatigue, headache, sleeplessness, coma, loss of consciousness, seizures and tremor.
â€¢ Skin : Skin inflammation, redness, increased sweating, flushing, blisters, itching, bruising, rash, Stevens-Johnson syndrome and hives.
â€¢ Eye and ENT : Ear pain, nosebleed, nose congestion, cold, runny nose and sore throat.
â€¢ Gastrointestinal : Abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, stomach discomfort and vomiting.
â€¢ Genitourinary : Acute kidney failure and acute tubular necrosis.
â€¢ Blood : Anemia and decrease in white blood cells and platelets.
â€¢ Liver : Liver dysfunction.
â€¢ Metabolic : Increased BUN.
â€¢ Musculoskeletal : Muscle pain, joint pain, back pain, leg cramps, limb pain, neck pain and rigors.
â€¢ Respiratory : Acute respiratory distress syndrome, shortness of breath, asthma, lung inflammation, bluish, difficulty in breathing, increased cough, lung swelling, sinus inflammation, upper respiratory tract infection and wheezing.
â€¢ Miscellaneous : Accidental injury, chills, fever, pain, pain in extremities and tightness in chest.
Adults and Children- IV- 400 mg/kg every 3 to 4 week.
It comes as a solution for injection to be administered by a healthcare provider into the vein.
â€¢ Caution should be exercised in patients who received vaccination for measles, mumps, or rubella in the last 3 months, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
â€¢ ♦Monitor patients for clinical signs and symptoms of hemolysis regularly while taking this medication.
Avoid excess dosage.
