This medication is a macrolide antibiotic used for various bacterial infections such as infections of the middle ear, throat, bronchus, sinuses, skin and soft tissue. It is also useful in treating pneumonia, typhoid, gonorrhoea, granuloma inguinale and chancroid. It prevents bacterial growth.

MeCbl is now prescribed for the treatment of vitamin B12 deficiency and is slowly replacing the traditional B12 formulations like cyanocobalamin and hydroxocobalamin.

MeCbl is essential for the normal functioning of the brain and nervous system and the formation of blood.

It is used to treat anemia, Alzheimer�s disease, peripheral neuropathy, diabetic neuropathy, rheumatoid arthritis, and probably amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

This medication is a carbapenem antibiotic, prescribed for bacterial infections like skin and skin structure infections, bacterial meningitis, serious nosocomial infections like septicaemia, febrile neutropenia, intraabdominal and pelvic infections. The medication inhibits cell wall synthesis in bacteria, and thereby leading to cell death.

This medication is an anticonvulsant used as an additional treatment of partial seizures. It is also effective against nerve-related pain as it decreases the number of pain signals sent out by the damaged nerves in the body. It is used in the management of postherpetic neuralgia (nerve pain caused by the chicken pox virus), painful peripheral neuropathy due to diabetes, nerve-related pain due to spinal cord injury and fibromyalgia (a condition where the patient has muscle and connective tissue pain). It is also used in the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder.
