How does Anabolic-Androgenic Steroids (AAS) work?

RSS Feeds   Text
Anabolic-Androgenic Steroids or AAS usage directly increases the level of steroids in the blood by bypassing the natural anabolic steroids synthesis pathway. This increase does not cause any change in chemical reactions but magnifies the already present functions of AAS.

Anabolic functions include increased virility, vitality, muscle strength and body mass while the androgenic functions of these drugs include the usual male traits such as deep voice body and facial hair.

AAS are laboratory-synthesized in a way that would enhance their anabolic abilities while suppressing their androgenic peroperties as far as possible. However the drugs are not as ‘pure’ as they are required to be and even the ‘purest’ form of these anabolic steroids have side effects.
