The doctor's body was brought to Safdarjung hospital for post-mortem where a team from the forensic department had been constituted to perform it.
The dean of a Madhya Pradesh medical college, Dr. Arun Sharma, was found dead in a hotel near the Indira Gandhi International Airport in the national capital. The autopsy of his body would be carried out at the Safdarjung Hospital. Kamaljeet Singh, public relations officer of the Safdarjung Hospital, said, "The doctor’s body is being brought to the hospital (Safdarjung) for post-mortem examination and a team from the forensic department has been constituted to perform it."
Dr. Sharma was connected with the investigation into the Madhya Pradesh Vyavsayik Pareeksha Mandal (Vyapam) scam. He was on his way to Tripura as a member of an inspection team of the Medical Council of India (MCI).
The police said, "Dr. Sharma, 64, was assisting the Special Task Force (SIT) probing the recruitment scam by providing documents on fake medical entrance examinees in the state-run college."
