Professor Stefanie Mollborn, Stanford University as reported in the Journal Health Services that patients who had more trust and had regular check ups with their physicians showed better disease cure compared to patients who had little trust on the treatment given by their doctor.

The researchers found that trust and cure were increased in less educated people compared to educated people. The researchers also found that in African-Americans, the poor and the uninsured delayed care were not affected by trust. Researchers also feel that the physicians who are responsible for giving a delayed treatment may also be responsible for low level of trust in their patients.
