Medicos Form Human Chain as Part of Quota Protests

Hundreds of doctors at the Sawai Man Singh medical college here today formed a human chain to protest against the proposed quota in educational institutes for backward classes.

The protesting doctors, with anti-quota slogans on their shirts and caps, took a round of the medical college and hospital, police said.

The medicos later held a meeting to finalise their action plan to protest the quota bill, which is likely to be placed in the monsoon session of Parliament, a 'Youth for Equality' spokesman said.

Police said traffic in the area was affected by the protests.
