Study Says Happiness Lies in a Prosperous Family

A new study from the Cambridge University has found that happiness lies in having a prosperous family.

A new study from the Cambridge University has found that happiness lies in having a prosperous family.

The study, which polled over 10,000 people, found that 57% of women were more concerned about their health as compared to 50% of men. Furthermore 38% men thought that a secure financial future was important as compared to 33% women.

"Most policy-making on happiness has focused on improving conditions for individuals. Our research suggests that more should be done to support the actions of both men and women in caring for others, because that will have benefits for everybody's quality of life," said lead author Professor Jacqueline Scott.

The study also found that many people were deriving happiness from the success of those closest to them. The details of the study appear in a book called Gender Inequalities in the 21st Century.
