A new study published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology reveals that smokers not only have a high risk of suffering from kidney cancer, the disease is also more aggressive.

Over 70 percent of those who have early stage tumors are able to recover within five years while less than eight percent of those with advanced tumor manage to do so.
Lead researcher Dr Thomas Polascik said that kicking the butt does show a positive impact in reducing the risk. “It can't bring you down to the risk of a nonsmoker, but it can get you almost there”, he added.
