Sexting in Epidemic Proportions Among Teens

There seems to be another unhealthy trend among teens as young as 13, of sexting and sending explicit pictures of themselves to their friends.

Swapping such messages appears to be a common trend these days. Shockingly, when the teens were quizzed, they said this is quite a routine affair as most of them are sexually tuned.

One of the girls when questioned said that she gets routinely gets asked for nude pictures of herself at least two or three times a week.

“This is mainstream; this is normal; this is almost mundane for some of the people we spoke to,’ said Andy Phippen, from Plymouth University who conducted the study.

‘In pretty much every school in the country, people aged 13 and 14 are talking about this stuff and dealing with this stuff.’
