Delhi recorded a total of 5,982 cases, out of which north Delhi recorded the highest at 1,734, south Delhi at 1,633 while east Delhi posted the lowest with 754.

The number of dengue cases recorded so far are the highest since 2010 - over 6,000 in 2010, 1,131 in 2011, 2,093 in 2012, 5,574 in 2013 and 995 in 2014. Even the cases of death recorded this year are the highest in comparison to the same time frame.
The number of dengue deaths in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 were, respectively, 8, 8, 4, 6 and 3. Officials said the number of affected people is all set to overtake the total figure of 2010 when 6,259 cases were reported which was the highest in the last six years.
