ResQCPR, an Advanced Life Saving System Recieves FDA Approval

ResQCPR System received the pre-market approval from the FDA. Advanced Circulatory, a division of ZOLL Medical, developed the system. It is comprised of the ResQPOD Impedance Threshold Device and the ResQPUMP Active Compression-Decompression device.

Traditionally chest compressions are done as a life saving technique when someone stops breathing or the heartbeat has stopped.

The ResQPUMP is an alternative to the chest compressions. The device is placed over the mouth and increases blood flow to the heart by helping air movement in and out of the lungs. Increased blood flow to the heart and the brain increases the chances of survival and reduces neurological damage.

Animal and clinical studies have shown that during High Quality CPR, the ResQPOD circulates drugs more effectively and proves beneficial in all arrest rhythms.
