Mum Ridiculed on Beach for Stretch Marks Pens Open Letter

After being humiliated by five teenagers due to her stretch marks when on the beach, the mother of five children has come out with an open letter saying that she is not ashamed of her scars.

Tanis Jex-Blake, 33, wore a bikini for the first time in 13 years and was sunbathing on the beach while her children were playing in the sand. Teenagers soon started to mock her stretch marks, calling it 'nasty' and 'gross' and started laughing and making fun of her in front of her family members.

While Tanis said that she feigned indifference to the comments, she was completely distraught on the inside.

Taking matters into her hands, she has now come out with a letter saying that the stretch marks were the result of her pregnancies and said that she was proud of her 'battle scars', adding that teenagers like those made the 'world an ugly place' to live.

After reading the letter, she has received huge support on the social media and the letter was also featured on Canadian television. Thanking people for the support, Tanis tweeted "I'm overwhelmed with support I've received over my Open Letter. Thank you to everyone near and far!"
