Luxury Makeovers for Corpses Offered by Beauty Firm

In some off-beat news, a beauty firm is offering luxury makeovers for corpses that include false eyelashes, hair highlights or metallic make-up. Cosmetics company Illamasqua, who calls it The Final Act of Self-Expression, is offering the service through a chain of London undertakers, and the make-up is applied by specially-trained artists, with prices starting at 450 pounds.

"Some people really want to express themselves even as they make the final journey into the afterlife," the Sun quoted Joe Corre, joint managing director of Leverton and Sons, as saying.

"It can be very beautiful and touching for everyone involved," he said.
