Laura was weighing just six stone on her wedding day and she looked tired and gaunt on the most important day of her life.
Guests were shocked to see a painfully frail and thin bride walk down the aisle. She was suffering from anorexia, the infamous eating disorder..

That was five years ago, now she is healthy and owes everything to the birth of her miracle boy, Matthew, who is 14-months old.

She believes her son is a miracle baby and is a gift from God. She was earlier warned that due to excessive damage caused by anorexia, she will not be able to bear children.

The disorder had slowly crept in due to extreme feelings of rejection she experienced after she was rejected for a tech training degree at 21.

Finally, she reached a stage when just being skinny was so important that she could survive on pineapple slices the whole week. Having no energy left, all she wanted to do was to die.

Her miracle conception last march gave her the will to fight the disease and to eat well as she began to get anxious that her baby’s health may be harmed by her starvation and exercise.
