Kinsa Health Decides to Launch Smart Ear Thermometer With Wireless Smartphone Connectivity
Kinsa Health, developer of the Kinsa smartphone-connected thermometer, will soon launch its new Kinsa Smart Ear Thermometer.
According to the developer, the device is designed for pediatric use, automatically syncs up with Kinsa’s app to upload readings and track them over time.

The application makes significant recommendations to see a doctor and potential causes if the fever lasts long enough or if the temperature crosses certain limits.

Most importantly, the application is able to let you know if there are certain infections known to be going around in your area.

Last year, the U.S. FDA approved the smartphone connected thermometer from the company.

The Kinsa can be used like a regular thermometer to measure the temperature under the tongue, in the rectum, or under the arm.

It connects to a smartphone through the headphone jack and uses the processing capabilities of the phone to record and display the temperature, allowing for a leaner thermometer design with minimal components.
