It must've broken box office records worldwide, but new Batman movie 'Dark Knight' has been condemned for its sadistic violence by a mother whose son became the target of a sword.

The 61-year-old mother said that the film's scenes showing the knife-obsessed Joker - played by the late Heath Ledger - who enjoys seeing maiming victims, will numb kids to the horror of stabbings.
"It's encouraging children to buy the same knife and actually end up using it. The next day somebody's dead," The sun quoted Barbara, as saying.
This Middlesbrough campaigner has pledged to grill bosses on the film's horror scenes, and has even challenged its 12A rating.
In the meantime, cinema legend Lord Richard Attenborough, 84, said brutality in movies has made weapons a "part of normal existence" for Brits.
