Federation of Indian Blood Donor Organizations to Organize Two-Day Conference

The conference aims to upscale the voluntary blood donation movement to review the current activities and to devise strategies for promoting voluntary blood donation.

The Federation of Indian Blood Donor Organizations (FIBDO) is conducting a national workshop and conference of blood donor motivator organizations — BLODCON 2015 — here on October 3 and 4.

The FIBDO is known as a collective of voluntary, non-remunerative blood donor organizations in India. The theme of the program is Vision 2020 — self-sufficiency in voluntary blood donation.

The conference aims to upscale the voluntary blood donation movement to review the current activities and to devise strategies for promoting voluntary blood donation.

The conference will be inaugurated by Governor P. Sathasivam on Saturday at Technopark. Asha Kishore, Director, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, will deliver the keynote address.

Delegates from across the country and abroad are participating in the conference. TEJUS Blood Donation Forum, Technopark and All Kerala Blood Donors’ Society are hosting the event.
