ExSpiron Pulmonary Monitor Explained in Detail
Respiratory Motion has now provided updated information on ExSpiron Pulmonary Monitor.
The ExSpiron respiratory monitoring system is capable of enabling continuous, non-invasive and detailed ventilation data in non-ventilated patients.

The system is able to continuously and noninvasively evaluate lung volume against time, and enable detailed data about the amount of air that enters/leaves the lungs every minute, breaths per minute and the volume of air in a single breath.

This is for the first time that quantitative data on these parameters will be available to physicians outside the operating room.

“We have never before been able to quantify the influence of pain agents on the respiratory system with such fidelity. This new information will enable us to alter care and potentially avoid respiratory distress well before current technologies would signal a problem,” said Gary Mullen, M.D., a practicing anesthesiologist at Vidant Medical Center and a study author.
