ECG Reports Now Accessible on Your Doc`s Blackberry
In yet another advance to make medical care more accessible, telemedicine has now come to the mobile handset.
BlackBerry, Maestros Mediline Systems and Vodafone have now enabled doctors at the Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai to access their patients' ECG reports on their BlackBerries.

The mobile electrocardiogram (ECG) application, called eUNO R 10, will help doctors monitor their patients' heart status remotely from anywhere. The service is available on BlackBerry smartphones powered by Vodafone.

"Mobile technologies are playing an important role in the healthcare industry and we hope this tie-up with Maestro would be the next game-changer in the healthcare sector over the next few years," RIM Managing Director (India) Frenny Bawa told reporters at the launch of the mobile ECG.

The service will gradually be introduced in other parts of India.
